| Dear Friends in Christ, Thank you for the most encouraging and welcoming vote of confidence in me and my pastoral skills and talents. I humbly and happily accept your call to be the next pastor of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dover. At this time, I plan to begin my duties and responsibilities on May 15th, 2010. I will use the first week to acclimate myself to my new position and environment. I plan to attend both Sunday services on May 16th and preside for the first time on May 23rd. I am so looking forward to our new adventures in mission and ministry. I pray God will continue to bless us with His empowering love as we grow and serve in God’s grace. The Call Committee is pleased to announce that we have recommended a candidate to become
the new pastor at Grace. We are excited about his experience and believe he will bring strong
leadership and a dynamic worship style to the congregation! We have plans for the recommended
pastor to come to the church on Sunday, April 18. During the Sunday school hour (9:00-10:15)
on April 18, we will have a meet and greet with the recommended pastor for all members and
visitors of the congregation. Please plan to attend and introduce yourself to the new pastor. At
10:15, after the meet and greet, we will have a congregational vote to officially call the new
pastor. Our hope is that the new pastor will then take over full-time duties at the church toward We appreciate your prayers during the call process. Please pray for the church and the new pastor. Make him feel welcome as he visits us and takes over his duties as pastor at Grace Lutheran!
